Professional Unpacking in Miami

Professional unpacking in Miami. Settle into your new home in hours, not weeks. Kitchen, closets, bathrooms organized. Quote: +1 (305) 970-6538.

The forgotten half of the moving process

Everyone plans the move. Almost no one plans the unpack. The result: you spend three weeks living out of boxes, eating takeout because the kitchen isn't functional, and tripping over moving blankets at midnight. We've watched this happen for 30 years, and it's why we offer professional unpacking as a standalone service in Miami.

Our unpacking crews don't just empty boxes. They organize. They place. They break down and remove the cardboard so you can actually live in your new home the same day.

How unpacking works at Wadjet

Unpacking is billed by the hour, like a local move. Typical Miami pricing for 2026:

  • 1-bedroom apartment: 2 unpackers, 3–4 hours, $320–$480 USD.
  • 2-bedroom apartment: 2–3 unpackers, 4–6 hours, $520–$840 USD.
  • 3-bedroom house: 3 unpackers, 6–8 hours, $840–$1,300 USD.
  • 4+ bedroom: 3–4 unpackers, 8–12 hours over 1–2 days, $1,400–$2,400 USD.

All boxes, packing paper, and bubble wrap are removed from your home the same day at no extra charge.

What we unpack first (priority order)

  1. Beds and bedrooms: assembled, made up with linens you specify, ready to sleep in tonight.
  2. Bathrooms: towels hung, toiletries placed, shower curtains installed.
  3. Kitchen: dishes, glassware, pots, pantry items organized into logical zones (cooking, prep, serving).
  4. Living room: furniture placed, electronics reconnected, art hung if you choose.
  5. Closets: wardrobe-box clothes hung directly, folded items into drawers.
  6. Decor and final touches: lamps, plants, books, decorative items.

Where we work in Miami

We unpack throughout Miami-Dade, from Brickell and Downtown high-rises to single-family homes in Coral Gables, Coconut Grove, Pinecrest, Kendall, Doral, Aventura, and Miami Beach. For high-rise unpacking, we coordinate the same COI and freight elevator paperwork as we do for moves — your building manager already knows our process.

Kitchen unpacking — our specialty

The kitchen is the room that takes the longest to do right. We follow a tested workflow:

  • Zone planning: cooking zone near the stove, prep near the sink, serving near the dining area, daily-use within easy reach.
  • Shelf liner installation (optional, recommended for Miami humidity): we lay shelf liner before placing dishes.
  • Glassware logic: water glasses near the fridge, wine glasses near the bar, special-occasion stemware up high.
  • Pantry organization: similar items grouped, expiration dates checked, original boxes broken down.
  • Appliance positioning: small appliances (coffee maker, toaster) placed where they'll actually be used daily.

What we don't do (and why)

"Unpacking is partly logistics, partly personal. We never decide where the family photo album lives — that's your call. We set up the home so you can make those choices comfortably."

We don't unpack items we didn't pack without verifying their condition first (insurance reasons). We don't dispose of items unless you specifically ask. We don't connect gas appliances (Florida code requires a licensed gas tech). And we don't install wall mounts for TVs unless you've booked our assembly service.

Same-day move + unpack combos

The most efficient option is to book moving + unpacking on the same day. Our crew loads at origin in the morning, drives to your new home in Miami, unloads in the afternoon, and a dedicated unpacking team starts behind them. By 8 p.m., the bedroom is made up, the kitchen is functional, and the boxes are gone.
