Why packing is the most underestimated part of any move
Most people think packing is just "putting stuff in boxes." It isn't. Packing is what determines whether your dishes arrive in one piece, whether your books warp in Miami's humidity, and whether the movers can actually load the truck efficiently the next morning. A poorly packed home turns a 6-hour move into a 10-hour move — and that costs you real money.

Full packing vs. partial packing
Full packing
We arrive 1–2 days before your move with a crew of 2–4 packers and box up everything: kitchen, closets, garage, decor, electronics, bathrooms. You don't lift a thing. Typical cost for a 3-bedroom Miami home: $1,200–$2,200 USD, materials included.
Partial packing
You handle the easy stuff (clothes, books, linens) and we handle the high-risk items: kitchen glassware, framed art, TVs, lamps, mirrors, and anything fragile. Typical cost: $400–$900 USD depending on volume.
Specialty packing only
Just one piece? A custom crate for a 65-inch TV, an oversized mirror, a glass dining table, an oil painting? Flat-rate quotes from $95 to $480 USD per item depending on size and crating requirements.
Materials matter — especially in Miami
South Florida's humidity is brutal on cardboard, which is why we use:
- Double-walled boxes for kitchen and books
- Wardrobe boxes with built-in hanging bars for closets
- Dish-pack barrels with cell dividers for stemware and china
- Mirror/picture cartons with foam corners for art and TVs
- Acid-free tissue and unprinted newsprint for delicate items (newspaper ink transfers)
- Shrink wrap and moving blankets for furniture protection
What we pack that most companies won't
- Wine collections: temperature-aware packing and labeling for transit.
- Art and antiques: custom corrugated crating with foam inserts.
- Pianos and instruments: padded, strapped, with humidity packets.
- Home offices: cable management, equipment photos before disconnect, labeled boxes by room and priority.
- Hurricane shutters and outdoor items: separate inventory, weather-aware wrapping.
Our packing process
The day before packing, your coordinator confirms the inventory, the crew size, and the arrival window. On packing day, we lay floor runners, set up a sorting station in your kitchen or living room, and work room by room — not piecemeal. Every box gets a label with: room, contents summary, fragile flag, and unpack priority number. By the end of the day, your home is fully boxed, labeled, and inventoried.
How long does packing take?
Realistic timelines for an average Miami home, no excessive collections:
- Studio / 1-bedroom: 4–6 hours, 2 packers
- 2-bedroom: 6–8 hours, 2–3 packers
- 3-bedroom: 8–10 hours, 3–4 packers (often split into 2 days)
- 4+ bedroom: 2–3 full days, 4 packers

We also insure what we pack. If we pack a box and something inside breaks, that's on us. If you pack the box yourself, insurance typically only covers external damage to the box, not the contents (this is standard industry practice, not a Wadjet rule).
