Packing is where moves are won or lost. A poorly packed box turns a $1,200 TV into a claim form. Our standard kit includes: small (1.5 cu ft) book boxes, medium (3.0 cu ft) general boxes, large (4.5 cu ft) light-goods boxes, dish-packs with cell dividers, wardrobe boxes with hanging bars, picture/mirror cartons, lamp boxes, and TV cartons.
Materials: virgin newsprint, bubble wrap, foam pouches for plates, glassine for art, stretch wrap for upholstery, and acid-free tissue for fine textiles. Every box is labeled by room, contents, and fragility level with our barcode inventory system.
Pricing by Home Size
A 1-bedroom apartment full pack in Hialeah runs $480 to $720, materials included. A 2-bedroom home is $720 to $1,100. A 3-bedroom is $1,150 to $1,700. A 4-bedroom estate runs $1,800 to $2,800. Partial packs (just the kitchen, just fragiles) start at $220 and are popular for Hialeah families who pack clothes themselves.
For long-distance moves, we recommend the full pack: the highway vibration on a 1,200-mile trip stresses boxes that local moves never test. The added cost typically saves more in damage claims than it spends.
Specialty Packing
Some items need more than a box. Custom wood crates start at $180 for art and mirrors, $260 for plasma/OLED TVs, $320 for marble countertops or tabletops, and $480 to $850 for chandeliers and statement light fixtures. We've crated a Steinway upright for a Hialeah pianist heading to Charlotte and a 6-foot Buddha statue for a customer relocating to Houston.
For wine collections, we provide temperature-managed cell packs and recommend climate-controlled transport. For document archives and tax records, we use file boxes with bar-coded inventories so nothing gets lost.
How a Hialeah Pack Day Works
Crew arrives between 8:00 and 9:00 AM. We do a 20-minute walkthrough, mark room priorities, and protect floors with adhesive runners. Then we deploy: typically a 3-person team for a 2-bedroom (one in kitchen, one in living/dining, one in bedrooms). Kitchen takes the longest, usually 3 to 4 hours due to dish-pack volume.
By mid-afternoon, fragile rooms are done and boxed. Bedrooms and closets follow. Living room art, mirrors, and electronics are packed last so you can use the rooms until the final moment. By 4:00 to 6:00 PM, the home is packed and ready for next-day load-out (or same-day if combined with our moving service).
Hialeah-Specific Logistics
Many Hialeah buildings (especially older condos along East 4th Avenue or 49th Street) have small elevators and narrow stairwells. Our crew adjusts box sizes accordingly, using more small/medium and fewer large boxes to navigate tight spaces. We also know which buildings require COIs (most over 4 stories) and handle the paperwork in advance.
